JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. -- District of Columbia National Guard Soldiers and Airmen support the Washington Metropolitan Police Department, alongside Metro Transit Police Department, with crowd management at designated metro stations throughout the district during Independence Day activities on the National Mall July, 4, 2023. Service members also provide directions, answer questions, or simply acknowledge appreciation from celebration attendees.
