• Active Duty Pay for Initial Training: Earn active duty pay while attending Basic Military Training and technical school. 
• Monthly and Annual Pay: Earn a monthly salary for working with us one weekend per month and get active duty pay for 15 days each year. This pay increases with promotions and time in service.
  • How Monthly Pay for Regularly Schedule Drill (RSD) Works:
    • RSDs (aka Drills) are typically one weekend a month (Sat and Sun)
    • Each drill period is equal to 4 hours of work, with there being 4 drill periods in a full drill weekend
    • Using the 2024 Pay Table w Drill Pays.xlsx, you can match your time in service and rank to see what you would make upon enlistment or at any point in your career for 1 drill period. Multiply that by 4 and that gives you your pay for a full drill weekend.
    • Examples:
      • (E-2) Airman Smith: is at <2 years of time in service, $75.37 per drill period, X4 drill periods = $301.48 for a drill weekend.
      • (E-4) Senior Airman Johnson: at 4 years of time in service, $102.21 per drill period, X4 drill periods = $408.21 per drill weekend.
      • (E-7) Master Sergeant Wilson: at 10 years of time in service gets $162.88 per drill period, X4 drill periods  = $651.52 per drill weekend.

• Thrift Savings Plan (TSP): TSP is a tax-deferred retirement savings and investment plan. More information here. 
• Blended Retirement System (BRS): BRS is similar to many civilian 401(k) plans. In addition to your own TSP contributions, with you contributing a portion of your own pay into your TSP account, your service matches a portion (i.e., 4% additional) of your basic pay after 2 years if you enter service after 1 Jan 2018. • FY 2025 Bonuses for Select Career Fields:
  • Non-Prior Service (NPS) (new enlistees) = Up to $50,000
  • Prior Service (PS) = Up to $75,000
  • Re-Enlistments = Up to $90,000
  • Affiliation = Up to $75,000
