Hello Capital Guardians!

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself and say hello. I started as your new wing commander a few months ago and I have been out meeting as many of you as possible. I am impressed with the professionalism and positive attitudes and I look forward to meeting each one of you. General Sasseville left the wing in great shape; and I want to thank him as well as Colonels McAvoy and Valentine for their efforts keeping up the momentum during the wing's transition.

I served in the active duty Air Force for ten years then joined the DCANG in Oct 1998. I was a traditional guardsman as well as AGR during my previous time here. In June of 2012, I left for an assignment that took me to the Pentagon. I will look back fondly on that experience, now that I'm back with the DCANG... I am excited to be here, and motivated by your energy and enthusiasm and look forward to working for you.

Mission first, people always, and have fun. We are an exceptional organization, strengthened by our diversity and ability to work well with each other. We have multiple no-fail missions that we do exceedingly well. We will continue that tradition and have fun while doing it.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
