CMSgt Lauren Williams is the Wing Command Chief of the 113th Wing, District of Columbia Air National Guard, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. CMSgt Williams serves as the key enlisted advocate and advisor to the Wing Commander on operational effectiveness and training of the Wing’s enlisted Airmen. She is a key member of the command’s leadership team and works with other enlisted leaders to include the State Command Chief, Group Senior Enlisted Leaders, and First Sergeants concerning enlisted matters.
Chief Williams is originally from Mountain Home, Idaho. She entered the Air National Guard in August 2002 with the 124th Fighter Wing, as a Munitions Systems Technician, graduating from the Munitions Systems Apprentice Course in May 2003. Chief Williams has an extensive background on A-10, B-52, C-130, F-16 and F-15 airframe munitions and maintenance requirements. From October 2016 to October 2018 Chief Williams served as the Munitions Accountable Systems Officer for the 144th Fighter Wing. In 2018, she was selected to assume the role as the inaugural Munitions Flight Chief for the Wing.
Her experience and capabilities are bolstered by serving in multiple other positions which include the 144th Maintenance Group Resource Advisor during the Wing’s conversion from the F-16 to the F-15 airframe while also serving the men and women of the Mission Support Group as a First Sergeant. She has served the National Guard as a Drill Status Guardsman, multiple Active Guard Reserve tours, and a Title 10 ADOS tour at the Air National Guard Readiness Center.
Chief Williams has deployed to Iraq in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, Afghanistan in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, and throughout the world for OPERATION NOBLE EAGLE. She also led two Theatre Support Packages to EUCOM and PACOM.
